In this four-day advanced workshop, you'll design and build a stained glass transom window—a beautiful, architectural-style panel to display in your home.
Students may choose to work from one of Flannery’s original templates or submit their own design. If you’re bringing original artwork, your final design must be emailed for approval by October 20 to ensure it’s suitable for the format and timeline.
Working with the copper foil technique, you'll gain experience building at a larger scale while refining your technique, material knowledge, and project planning skills.
Daily Schedule:
Day 1: Select colors and cut glass
Day 2: Grind and copper foil
Day 3: Solder your panel
Day 4: Add a metal frame, apply patina and polish, and pack your finished piece for safe transport
This workshop is a rewarding deep dive for advanced students who are ready to take on a more ambitious project with close guidance and creative freedom.
